sophie is the author of MEET ME HERE AT DAWN ( YESYES BOOKS) and the chapbook _____ Versus recovery (Pilot books). A recent Philip Roth Resident at the Stadler Center for Poetry and Literary Arts, she is the 2019/20 Kenan Visiting Writer at UNC Chapel Hill.

ORIGINALLY A DANCER, sophie’s interdisciplinary work includes creating SCENIC textS for dance theatre and choreography for PERFORMANCE ART. She is the co-creator and editor of Teen sequins, and Writes with the poet Corey Zeller under the pen name Bright division. Born and raised in PittsburgH, Sophie most frequently lives in Urban California or rural nebraska.
